Image Description
Most cases of Leydig cell tumor are composed of uniform polygonal or round cells arranged in diffuse sheets. Less commonly seen architectural patterns include insular, nested, trabecular, pseudoglandular, ribbon-like, spindle (shown here), and microcystic patterns.
This image shows delicate strands and trabeculae of eosinophilic cells separated by loose myxoid stroma. The pattern was focally seen. The remainder of the tumor had more conventional appearance.
