This orchiectomy is from an adult male (> 60 yrs.) with untreated CLL and remote history of Hodgkin lymphoma treated with radiation. He presented with testicular pain of recent onset. Ultrasound findings were suspicious for a neoplasm. Imaging studies showed no evidence of lymphadenopathy or metastases. Recent WBC count was > 170K with 95% lymphocytes.
The specimen shows a 3.5 cm firm, solid, beefy-red tumor replacing two-thirds of the testis. The final diagnosis on morphology and flow cytometry was large B-cell lymphoma in a background of CLL/SLL. See next few images for additional details.
