Image Description

The epididymis connects efferent ductules to the vas deferens. Anatomically, it is divided into head, body, and tail portions. It is lined by tall columnar cells, dark-staining columnar cells, basal cells, and clear cells. The image shows several tubules of epididymis lined by ciliated tall columnar epithelium. The tubules have a thick muscular coat which plays an important role in sperm movement through epididymis.
