Image Description
Epidermoid cyst of the testis is a subtype of prepubertal teratoma. It is lined by keratinizing squamous epithelium but lacks skin appendages or other adnexal structures. The squamous epithelium ranges from stratified to flattened.
Like dermoid cysts and unlike postpubertal teratomas, the surrounding testicular parenchyma is normal. There is no cytologic atypia and germ cell neoplasia-in-situ is absent.
