Image Description

Choriocarcinoma of the testis is a soft, friable tumor with extensive areas of hemorrhage and necrosis. There may be a peripheral solid rim of grey-tan tumor surrounding the central hemorrhagic areas. In cases where the primary tumor has regressed, the cut surface of the testis may only show a residual scar. Image courtesy of: Jian-Hua Qiao, MD, FCAP, Los Angeles, CA, USA.
