Intracytoplasmic and extracellular eosinophilic hyaline inclusions are a constant feature of yolk sac tumors. They are PAS+ and diastase-resistant and have been shown to contain AFP, basal lamina material, or other plasma proteins such as albumin, transferrin, and alpha1-antitrypsin.
