Embryonal carcinoma in a 33 y/o male. The tumor infiltrated spermatic cord (pathologic stage: pT3). Serum LDH was more than 1400 IU/L (ref. range 121-224). Serum beta-hCG was not elevated. Staging work-up revealed pulmonary metastases. The tumor was positive for CD30, PLAP and pankeratin. It was negative for EMA, CD45, and AFP. Image Copyright: pathorama.ch.
