Image Description

Another image with typical appearance of a spermatocytic tumor. Occasional cases show considerable nuclear atypia - the so-called anaplastic variant of spermatocytic tumor. Since the biologic behavior is the same as those lacking anaplasia, the use of this term is discouraged. Most cases behave in a benign fashion. Orchiectomy is sufficient treatment. Rare cases are complicated by sarcomatous transformation.
