Image Description
The signet-ring cells are arranged in sheets and clusters in this image. The nuclei are deeply hyperchromatic. Nucleoli are not visible. In most cases, the cytoplasmic vacuoles creating a signet-ring appearance are either empty or contain lipid. Intracellular mucin is found only in rare cases in small quantities.
