Image Description

Higher magnification view of the previous case. Signet-ring cell carcinoma of the prostate can metastasize to distant sites such as liver, lung, peritoneum, gastrointestinal tract, and pancreas where it may potentially be mistaken for primary signet-ring cell tumor. When dealing with a mucin-negative signet-ring cell tumor in one of these locations, prostate primary should always be considered.
