Image Description
This is an uncommon variant of prostate cancer that consists of intermediate to large size glands with lumina that show branching and papillary infoldings. At low magnification, it closely mimics benign prostatic hyperplasia (as seen in this image) hence the name. The glands are crowded and cytologic features of malignancy such as prominent nucleoli are usually present.
