Image Description

Post-atrophic hyperplasia is a variant of atrophy that consists of small basophilic acini, often arranged around a central dilated duct. The acini may be arranged in compact clusters or lobules giving it a hyperplastic appearance. Note the resemblance to resting breast lobules. Higher magnification of the previous image.
