Image Description

STUMP showing the most common histologic pattern consisting of hypercellular stroma and bizarre nuclei with degenerative type atypia. The atypical stromal cells are scattered in between benign prostatic glands which seem unaffected by this stromal proliferation. The patient had urinary obstruction, normal serum PSA, and an abnormal digital rectal exam (which prompted the prostate biopsy).
