This focus of post-atrophic hyperplasia shows fibrosis in between glands. This has been referred to as sclerotic atrophy. The combination of irregular, infiltrative pattern of glands along with fibrosis creates an alarming appearance. However, if one steps back and looks at the entire focus at low magnification, one would appreciate the overall lobular architecture (See previous image).
