A limited focus of cancer composed of six atypical glands in a prostate needle biopsy. Higher magnification of the previous image. Notwithstanding the small size of this focus, the architectural distortion, the presence of nuclear enlargement and hyperchromasia, prominent nucleoli, and the apparent absence of basal cells (confirmed with basal cell marker immunohistochemistry) are diagnostic of adenocarcinoma.
