This focus consists of tubular and glandular structures in a desmoplastic stroma. Scattered inflammatory cells are also seen. The differential diagnosis includes collecting duct carcinoma and metastatic carcinoma. Tumors with predominant solid areas need to be distinguished from invasive urothelial carcinoma.
