This clear cell renal cell carcinoma has a grainy tan appearance with abundant hemorrhage. This example clearly extends beyond the renal capsule into the perinephric fat, a prognostically adverse finding. The tumor invaded beyond Gerota fascia and was present at soft tissue margins (AJCC/TNM Stage 4).
