Image Description
Necrosis is commonly seen in primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET). Treatment usually consists of multimodal therapy (surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation). Outcomes have improved recently. In patients with localized disease, the median survival is about 5 yrs. Patients with regional or distant metastases succumb to the disease usually within 2 yrs.
