Image Description

Multicystic nephroma (Multilocular cyst, cystic nephroma) is usually seen in infancy but may occur at any age with a strong female predominance. The lesion is solitary and sharply demarcated from the surrounding parenchyma. It consists of small and large cysts with smooth walls and lacking papillary projections. The cysts do not communicate with each other or with renal pelvis and may be filled with serous fluid. Image courtesy of pathdoc68, FLICKR
