Image Description

Glomus Tumor of Kidney: The tumor consists of variably-sized vessels, some with stag-horn configuration, surrounded by a population of uniform round cells in a hyalinized or myxoid stroma. Glomus tumors that show focal or partial smooth muscle differentiation are called glomangiomyomas. Tumors with prominent vessels and slight spindling of glomus cells have been referred to as glomangiopericytomas. This case does seem to have such an appearance.
