Image Description

This specimen represents a left adrenal mass removed from a 63 year old man 11 years after he underwent right radical nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma. It turned out to be metastatic renal cell carcinoma. Besides kidneys, other primary sites from which metastases to adrenal might originate include: lung, breast, stomach, pancreas, and skin (malignant melanoma).
