Extranodal Marginal Zone Lymphoma of MALT-type (MALTOMA)
Image Description
Intermediate magnification view showing diffuse involvement of mucosa and submucosa by small and medium-sized lymphocytes. The native glandular architecture is disrupted. The main differential diagnosis of gastric MALTOMA includes reactive lymphoid hyperplasia and plasma cell granuloma. The presence of diffuse infiltration by lymphocytes in between gastric glands and lymphoepithelial lesions favor lymphoma over reactive conditions.
