Kaposi Sarcoma of Small Bowel

Kaposi sarcoma in the small intestine, as in other sites, is a malignant spindle-cell vascular tumor. It is most commonly seen in patients with AIDS and is caused by the HHV-8 virus. Here, the neoplasm fills the submucosa with a clearly malignant proliferation of vascular cells.
