The malignant cells in lymphomatoid polyposis are small with cleaved nuclei. The lymphoma's immunoprofile would be the same as in the non-intestinal counterpart (ie, mantle cell lymphoma or follicular lymphoma). Lymphomatoid polyposis may be due to primary or secondary gastrointestinal involvement by the lymphoma.
