Image Description

Microscopic Features: Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) of pancreas show cystically dilated ducts lined by columnar mucinous epithelium. The epithelium is arranged as a flat layer or has papillary architecture ranging from gentle folds to complex arborizing papillae. Unlike mucinous cystic neoplasm, there is no ovarian stroma. This image shows gastric type of IPMN of pancreas.
