Image Description

High magnification of FLC reveals clusters of large, polygonal tumor cells with large nuclei, prominent nucleoli, and abundant granular eosinophilic cytoplasm. The tumor cells often contain hyaline eosinophilic d-PAS+ globules (C-reactive protein, fibrinogen, alpha-1 antitrypsin) and "pale bodies" (fibrinogen, albumin), as seen here.
