Image Description

Fetal epithelial-type hepatoblastomas consist of small hepatocytes that resemble adult liver cells. Cytoplasmic lipid and glycogen gives some fetal cells a pale appearance, rendering a “light-and-dark” pattern to fetal areas at low power. Extramedullary hematopoiesis is common and mitoses are very rare. This histologic type has the best prognosis.
