Telangiectatic LCA often show abortive portal tract areas with poorly-formed ductules and a chronic inflammatory infiltrate. LCAs with chronic inflammatory infiltrates and/or sinusoidal dilatation may harbor IL6ST gene mutations and show increased interleukin-6 signaling.
