Intracholecystic Papillary-Tubular Neoplasm (ICPN) with Invasive Carcinoma (continued from the previous image): The invasive focus may not be grossly obvious or may occur away from the ICPN lesion. Therefore, thorough sampling (or even total embedding) is required before ruling out invasion. In ICPNs without invasive cancer, document the presence and extent of high-grade dysplasia, degree of papillary growth, and cell lineages (esp. biliary and gastric foveolar types) due to their higher association with invasive cancer in the biliary tract.
