Gallbladder ICPN : Microscopic Features
Image Description
Microscopic Features: Intracholecystic papillary-tubular neoplasms (ICPNs) of gallbladder form an intraluminal growth with a predominantly papillary configuration but may also display villous, tubular or mixed tubulopapillary architecture. The papillary and glandular units are closely packed with little intervening stroma. They are lined usually by biliary epithelium with high-grade dysplasia. Previously, such cases were classified as papillary adenocarcinomas of the gallbladder. They show positivity for CK7 and MUC1. This is a slightly higher magnification of the previous image.
