Cholesterol Polyps

Cholesterol Polyps: They are focal accumulations of lipid-laden macrophages in the lamina propria of the gallbladder, seen in the setting of cholesterolosis. They can range from small mucosal protrusions to well-developed cauliflower-like pedunculated structures. The size ranges from 2 to 10 mm. They may be detected on imaging studies.
