Image Description

The image shows a solid nest of tumor cells with central necrosis. The tumor cells at the periphery have eosinophilic cytoplasm and appear to be forming rosettes. The nuclei are uniform and round with inconspicuous nucleoli. Mitotic activity and pleomorphism are absent. The cells in the center of the nest have clear cytoplasm, presumably due to lipid accumulation. Cases where such cells predominate are labeled lipid-rich or clear cell carcinoids.
