Another example of mucinous cystadenoma of the appendix with villous morphology. Wispy mucin is also present. Mucin may penetrate the thinned wall due to increased intraluminal pressure. It may spread to the serosal surface of the appendix or even the peritoneal cavity causing pseudomyxoma peritonei.
