Graves Disease
Image Description
The follicles are hypercellular and lined by tall columnar epithelium. Overcrowding of nuclei results in papillary infoldings which project into the glandular lumen, mimicking papillary thyroid carcinoma. However, unlike papillary carcinoma, these papillary areas lack true fibrovascular cores. The follicular lumens are variable in size and contain pale colloid with scalloped margins.
