Image Description

Low magnification view of another case of dyshormonogenetic goiter showing hypercellular nodules composed of small, compact follicles. The lumens are small or nearly-occluded and contain little or no colloid. Cytologic atypia is less pronounced than the previous case. The treatment of dyshormonogenetic goiter generally consists of thyroid hormone replacement. Surgery is indicated if goiter is causing compression symptoms.
