Image Description

Immunohistochemistry: Glucagon is one of the most commonly expressed peptides in all pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (panNETs), although it is not associated with clinical syndrome except in glucagonomas. Besides glucagon, the tumor cells often express synaptophysin, chromogranin A, PP, and other active compounds.

This image from a glucagonoma shows uniform population of tumor cells arranged in sheets and anastomosing trabeculae.
