Image Description

Pheochromocytoma is a highly vascular tumor as can be seen here. Given the high degree of vascularization, selective arteriography was used for a number of years as a diagnostic tool when pheochromocytoma was suspected clinically. However, this invasive test has largely been replaced by abdominal CT scan as the diagnostic modality of choice.
