Clear Cell Acanthoma

Low power view shows marked acanthosis and fusion of rete ridges. Note the pallor of lesional cells compared to the uninvolved epidermis. The pallor is due to abundant cytoplasmic glycogen which can be demonstrated with PAS stain.
