Acral lentiginous melanoma presenting as a large mass over the sole of left foot in a 70 y/o male. The mass reached a size of almost 6 cm in 9 months. The cut surface has a jet black appearance. The histologic and immunohistochemical findings (positivity for HMB-45, S-100, and Melan-A) confirmed the diagnosis. Case contributed by: Dr. Sanjay D. Deshmukh and Dr. A. R.
