Image Description

Treatment & Prognosis of Fabry Disease: Treatment consists of enzyme replacement therapy and management of heart failure. Prognosis is good if treatment is initiated early in life. In the absence of intervention, male patients succumb to the disease by age 50 and females by age 70 years. The cause of death is usually cardiomyopathy, renal failure, or stroke.
