Image Description

Fibromatosis is an infiltrating low-grade spindle cell tumor of the breast. It is composed of a spindle cell proliferation accompanied by varying amounts of collagen deposition. The periphery of the lesion usually shows stellate extensions into the surrounding breast parenchyma and fat. Clinically, it may be indistinguishable from carcinoma.
