Image Description

Primary osteogenic and chondrosarcomas of the breast are very rare. One must exclude malignant phyllodes tumor and metaplastic carcinoma before a definitive diagnosis is made. This image shows typical histologic features of a high-grade chondrosarcoma in a 7.0 cm mass removed from the breast of a 68 year old woman.
