Image Description

Micropapillary carcinoma of breast is an aggressive cancer with a higher relapse rate and shorter disease-free survival due to its tendency to lympho-vascular invasion, extensive axillary lymph node involvement, local recurrences, and distant metastases.

Invasive mucinous carcinoma sometimes coexists with MPC. Metastatic micropapillary carcinoma to breast from ovarian, lung, pancreatic, and bladder primaries must be ruled out.
