Glycogen-rich (Clear Cell) Carcinoma of Breast
Image Description
Glycogen-rich carcinoma is a variant of ductal carcinoma in which, as the name suggests, the tumor cells contain abundant intracytoplasmic glycogen. Dissolution of glycogen during tissue processing causes cytoplasm to be clear or vacuolated. The tumor cells have distinct cytoplasmic borders and they are arranged in sheets in this image.
