Image Description

In rare cases, the neoplastic epithelial component may undergo degeneration resulting in a pattern of anastomosing vascular-like spaces. This has been referred to as pseudoangiomatous or acantholytic pattern and resembles the benign entity found in the breast called pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia. The cells lining the pseudovascular spaces are positive for cytokeratins and negative for CD34 and Factor VIII.
