Histiocytoid Carcinoma
Image Description
Histiocytoid Carcinoma (HC) is an uncommon variant of infiltrating lobular carcinoma in which the tumor cells have abundant granular foamy cytoplasm creating a resemblance to histiocytes (hence the name). It has also been referred to as myoblastoid carcinoma given its resemblance to granular cell tumor (granular cell myoblastoma). HC lacks E-Cadherin expression like ILC and shows positivity for GCDFP-15 - a marker of apocrine differentiation.
