Comments:
Strands and cords of signet ring cells are seen infiltrating adipose tissue. Signet ring cell carcinoma of the breast lacks alpha-catenin activity secondary to mutations. They are positive for CK7 and MUC1. They also lack E-Cadherin expression similar to classical lobular carcinoma.
