Comments:
Primary paraganglioma of the bladder (also referred to as pheochromocytoma) usually arises as a solitary exophytic submucosal lesion. There is slight female predilection and the patient is usually in 3rd or 4th decade of life with a wide age range. Majority of the patients experience symptoms related to catecholamine release during micturition. The tumor cells are arranged in nests (Zellballen) separated by delicate fibrous septa.
