Comments:
Large malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor removed from the posterior thigh of an adult male. There was no history of neurofibromatosis. The tumor originated in the sciatic nerve and measured 18 cm in largest dimension. It has a fleshy, pink-tan, variegated appearance with areas of hemorrhage, necrosis, and cavitation.
