Angiomyolipoma : Sclerosis

Comments:
Some angiomyolipomas (AML) show prominent sclerosis. The treatment for larger AMLs (greater than 4 cm) is surgical. For smaller asymptomatic tumors, if the diagnosis can be made confidently on radiologic studies, no treatment is required. The patient is followed with periodic radiologic evaluations.
